You don’t need lots of specialist equipment to start Judo. For your free trial, comfortable sports clothing is all you need.
Once you’ve decided to continue, you’ll want your own Judogi — the traditional uniform worn for Judo.
Kanokwai also has a range of club clothing and kit available to our members.
A Judogi consists of a heavy jacket, trousers and belt. Getting the correct size and type is important, particularly for growing children.
Don’t worry about buying one before speaking to us.
Louise and the coaching team can advise you on the correct size and a suitable Judogi for your age and level of training. The club stocks Judogi in a variety of sizes and colours — including pink for all those aspiring Judo princesses!
A range of Kanokwai branded clothing and kit is available to purchase through the club.
Speak to a member of the team for the range, to check current sizes, availability and place an order.
Note the club are placing a bulk order at the end of the month – deadline Friday 25th September.
Alongside your Judogi, we recommend bringing a bottle of water and sliders or other easy-to-remove footwear to every training session.
Please keep your Judogi clean and make sure fingernails and toenails are kept short for everyone’s safety.
